I did the same thing, but used two filing cabinets! These kitchen counter desks are insanely beautiful; used the offbrand Karlby from ikea and in store (bought for $60!) the 74"x1 1/2 is amazing. No scratches and it stays clean with all the snacks and drinks I bring! By far a great, high-quality desk for a great price.
