Prairie grass hay - the cutting and storing of prairie hay for use during winters and in times of drought. Unfortunately, man does not always harvest or store it as well as he might. Our prairie grasses can be harvested as hay any time from late June until winter weather prevents haying operations, but the question is: when is the best time to cut our prairie hay?
